Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre, gurmar), leaf. This is a solvent extract of the leaf standardized to 25% total gymnemic acids by gravimetric and HPLC assay, making it the most common commercial extract grade and a concentrated, marker-defined material rather than a whole milled leaf. It sits at the entry potency of the standardized series, carrying one third the gymnemic acid specification of the 75% grade and half that of the 50% grade, and unlike the 4:1 native extract it is defined by a fixed marker percentage rather than an herb-to-extract ratio. The material is a fine dry extract powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets, and powder.
