Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate

Calcium carbonate is the calcium salt of carbonic acid (CaCO3, CAS 471-34-1), and the most elementally concentrated of the common calcium sources at roughly 40% calcium by weight. We source USP/FCC grades that are mined and refined from limestone or marble deposits. As an inorganic carbonate salt it is essentially water-insoluble, which sets it apart from the organic-acid salts such as citrate, gluconate and lactate in this family, and it carries a far higher elemental load per gram than the chelated or mixed-salt forms. It is supplied as a white crystalline to fine powder. We manufacture it in tablets, capsules, powders and gummies.
