Manganese Citrate

Manganese(II) citrate (trimanganese dicitrate)

Manganese citrate, in the trimanganese dicitrate stoichiometry (C12H10Mn3O14, CAS 10024-66-5), is the manganese(II) salt of citric acid, produced synthetically. With three manganese ions per two citrate units it carries roughly 30% elemental manganese, markedly higher than the other organic-acid salts such as gluconate (~12%) and ascorbate (~13.5%) and close to the inorganic sulfate. It is an organic-acid salt rather than an amino-acid chelate, which differentiates it from bisglycinate. The material is a powder with manganese in the reduced +2 oxidation state. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet and powder formats.
