Manganese Gluconate

Manganese(II) D-gluconate

Manganese gluconate is the manganese(II) salt of D-gluconic acid (C12H22MnO14, CAS 6485-39-8), an organic-acid salt produced synthetically by reacting a manganese source with gluconic acid. It carries roughly 12% elemental manganese, the lowest elemental load in the family, since the large gluconate anion accounts for most of the molecular weight. In contrast to the inorganic salts such as sulfate or carbonate, the gluconate is highly water-soluble, which is why it is one of the few manganese forms we also run in liquids. The manganese remains in the divalent +2 state throughout. We manufacture it in tablet, capsule, powder and liquid formats.
