BCAA 8:1:1 is a leucine-heavy blend of the three branched-chain amino acids, L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine, in an 8:1:1 leucine:isoleucine:valine weight ratio. It is produced by dry-blending the individual fermentation-derived free-form amino acids and, as a mixture, carries no single CAS number, molecular formula or molecular weight. It has the highest leucine proportion of the three fixed-ratio grades, above both the 2:1:1 and 4:1:1 blends, with the isoleucine and valine held at equal parts. In contrast to the single-amino-acid grades it provides all three constituents in a single powder. We manufacture it in powder, capsule, tablet and liquid formats.
