Creatine Ethyl Ester (HCl)

ethyl 2-[carbamimidoyl(methyl)amino]acetate hydrochloride

Creatine ethyl ester is the ethyl ester of creatine, supplied as its hydrochloride salt (CAS 15366-32-2, C6H14ClN3O2, MW 195.65). Unlike the monohydrate or the simple hydrochloride salt, the carboxyl group of the creatine molecule is esterified with ethanol, and the resulting ester is stabilized as the hydrochloride. It is manufactured synthetically and supplied as a crystalline powder. It is manufactured in capsule and powder formats.
