Magnesium Glycinate

Magnesium bisglycinate

Magnesium glycinate, chemically magnesium bisglycinate (CAS 14783-68-7; C4H8MgN2O4, MW 172.42), is a fully-reacted amino-acid chelate in which one magnesium ion is coordinated between two glycine ligands rather than held as a simple inorganic salt. It carries approximately 14% elemental magnesium by weight, a lower elemental load than the inorganic oxide, carbonate or chloride grades but higher water solubility than the oxide. We supply it as a fine off-white powder in both fully-reacted and buffered grades. Manufactured dosage formats are capsules, tablets and powder blends.
