Dihydroberberine

Dihydroberberine

Dihydroberberine is a reduced (dihydro) derivative of the isoquinoline alkaloid berberine (CAS 483-15-8, C20H19NO4, MW 337.37 g/mol), supplied as an isolated single compound. It is standardized to not less than 95% by HPLC, and unlike Berberine HCl or Berberine Sulfate it is not a salt of berberine but a chemically reduced derivative with its own molecular formula and CAS identity. This distinguishes it technically from both the purified berberine salts and the whole-plant extract and powder grades in the family. The bulk material is a powder, and it is manufactured into capsule and tablet formats.
