Root of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) processed into an extract standardized to a minimum of 1% beta-sitosterol as its marker phytosterol. It is sourced from the root rather than the aerial leaf used in the 4:1 and 1% silica leaf grades, and it is marker-standardized rather than ratio-defined like the 10:1 root extract or the non-extracted root powder. The phytosterol marker also differentiates it from the silica-standardized leaf extract. It is supplied as a dry extract powder suited to powder- and oil-fill formats. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet and softgel formats.
