Sodium Molybdate Dihydrate

Disodium molybdate dihydrate

Sodium molybdate dihydrate is the disodium salt of molybdic acid carrying two waters of crystallisation (CAS 10102-40-6, Na2MoO4·2H2O, molecular weight 241.95), in which molybdenum is present as the fully oxidised hexavalent molybdate anion. It is produced as a white, freely water-soluble crystalline inorganic salt from mineral molybdenum feedstock and is the most widely used molybdenum raw material in this family. Compared with the anhydrous grade it carries a lower elemental load of roughly 39.7% Mo because of its bound water, while remaining far more concentrated than the amino-acid glycinate chelate at about 2.5% Mo and delivering a single defined stoichiometry that the supplier-variable citrate complex does not. We supply it as a crystalline powder in capsule, tablet, liquid and powder formats.
