Calcium Bisglycinate ist ein Calcium-Aminosäure-Chelat (calcium bis(glycinate), CAS 35947-07-0, Molekulargewicht 188.20), in dem ein Calciumion von zwei Glycinmolekülen koordiniert wird, statt als einfaches Mineralsalz vorzuliegen. Es wird synthetisch durch vollständige Umsetzung einer Calciumquelle mit Glycin hergestellt und trägt etwa 21% elementares Calcium. Da es ein Chelat und kein anorganisches oder organisches Säuresalz ist, hebt es sich strukturell von jeder anderen Form dieser Familie ab, und es wird auf einen angegebenen elementaren Calciumgehalt standardisiert. Es wird als weißes bis gebrochen weißes Pulver geliefert. Wir stellen es in Kapseln, Tabletten und Pulvern her.
