Hydroxytyrosol

Hydroxytyrosol (3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol)

Hydroxytyrosol (3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol) is an olive phenylethanoid obtained from the leaf or fruit of the olive tree (Olea europaea), supplied as an isolated single compound at 98% or higher purity by HPLC (CAS 10597-60-1, C8H10O3, molecular weight 154.16 g/mol). It is the smaller phenolic to which the larger oleuropein glycoside hydrolyzes, and as a purified molecule it differs from the standardized whole-leaf extract grades that retain a native matrix. Within the family's two isolates it is the lower molecular weight compound alongside isolated oleuropein. It is presented as a fine defined-compound powder and can also be handled in liquid form. We manufacture it in capsule, softgel, powder and liquid formats.
