Natural Vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol)

RRR-alpha-tocopherol

RRR-alpha-tocopherol (CAS 59-02-9) is the single natural stereoisomer of alpha-tocopherol, a fat-soluble chromanol carrying a saturated phytyl side chain, isolated and molecularly distilled from vegetable oil deodorizer distillates. Unlike the synthetic dl-grade, which is an all-rac blend of eight stereoisomers, this material is the one RRR configuration and carries the highest tocopherol conversion factor in the family at 1.49 IU/mg. Its chromanol hydroxyl is free and unesterified, setting it apart from the acetate and succinate esters and leaving it a viscous oil rather than a crystalline solid. We supply it as a neat oil for softgels, capsules and liquids, and as an adsorbed or spray-dried powder for dry formats.
