Gamma-Tocotrienol

d-gamma-tocotrienol / (R)-gamma-tocotrienol

d-gamma-tocotrienol (CAS 14101-61-2) is the gamma homolog of the unsaturated tocotrienol series and the most abundant tocotrienol in palm and rice-bran oil. Like the other tocotrienols it carries a triple-unsaturated side chain, and with one fewer ring methyl group than alpha-tocotrienol it has a molecular weight of 410.6 g/mol (C28H42O2). It is isolated as a component of the tocotrienol complex and assayed by HPLC, and as a free-phenol oil it differs from the esterified tocopheryl acetate and succinate grades. We supply it as an oil for softgels, capsules and liquids.
