Micronized Creatine Monohydrate (e.g. Creapure)

2-[carbamimidoyl(methyl)amino]acetic acid monohydrate

Micronized creatine monohydrate is the same crystalline creatine monohydrate (CAS 6020-87-7, C4H11N3O3, MW 149.15) milled to a finer particle size, and is offered under brands such as Creapure. Milling reduces the particle size relative to standard monohydrate to give a finer powder that disperses more readily, while the chemical identity and the ~87.9% creatine-by-mass content are unchanged. Like the standard grade it is produced synthetically and carries one water of crystallization, distinguishing it from the water-free anhydrous base and from the salt, ester and chelate forms of the family. It is supplied as a fine white crystalline powder and is manufactured in powder and capsule formats.
