Black cohosh (Actaea racemosa) supplied as the dried, milled root and rhizome. This grade is the whole, unconcentrated botanical, produced without solvent extraction and with no added carriers or marker standardization. It therefore differs technically from the family's HPLC marker-standardized extracts, which fix triterpene glycosides at 2.5% or 5%, and from the native 4:1 and 10:1 drug-to-extract ratio concentrates, carrying only the triterpene glycosides naturally present in the raw material. The material is a free-flowing milled botanical powder. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets, and bulk powder.
