Epimedium (Horny Goat Weed)

Icariin 98%

Icariin (prenylflavonoid glycoside)

Icariin (CAS 489-32-7, C33H40O15, molecular weight 676.66), the principal prenylflavonoid glycoside of horny goat weed (Epimedium grandiflorum, aerial parts), isolated and purified to at least 98% by HPLC. In contrast to the family's whole-plant extract grades, which retain the native flavonoid matrix at 10-40% icariin or 60% total flavones, this is a single defined glycoside separated to near-single-compound purity. It differs from our icaritin isolate in that icariin is the intact glycoside form, whereas icaritin is its aglycone. It is supplied as a fine powder. Manufactured in capsule and powder dosage formats.
