Calcium Fructoborate

Calcium bis(D-fructose) borate complex

Calcium fructoborate is a defined calcium bis(D-fructose) borate complex (CAS 250141-42-5, formula C24H40B2CaO24, molecular weight 774.26) in which boron is bis-chelated by fructose around a calcium counter-ion. It is produced synthetically as a single, characterized sugar-borate molecule, which distinguishes it from the family's amino-acid chelates that carry no fixed stoichiometry. At approximately 2.8% elemental boron it holds the lowest boron load of any form in this family, below the citrate and amino-acid chelates near 5% and well below the inorganic boric acid and borax grades. We manufacture it as a powder for capsule, tablet and powder formats.
