Horny goat weed (Epimedium grandiflorum) aerial-part extract standardized to 60% total Epimedium flavones (icariins) by UV spectrophotometry. Unlike the 10%, 20% and 40% grades, which are assayed for single-marker icariin by HPLC, this grade is defined by the summed prenylflavonoid content (total icariins) measured by UV, giving a higher nominal flavone figure across the group of related glycosides. It is a whole-plant extract, not a purified single compound. It is supplied as a dry powder. Manufactured in capsule, tablet and powder dosage formats.
