Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed extract, produced by solvent extraction of the milled seed and assayed to 50% total saponins by UV/gravimetric method, covering the furostanolic and steroidal saponin fraction; the same extract is also offered at 20%, 40% and 60% grades. It is a whole-extract concentrate defined by total saponin content rather than by a single amino-acid marker (as in the 4-hydroxyisoleucine grade) or a proprietary glycoside matrix (as in the branded extracts). Physically it is a free-flowing powder. It is manufactured into capsules, tablets and powders.
