A dried leaf extract of ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), the maidenhair tree. This grade is standardized to a higher 27% flavone glycoside and 7% terpene lactone marker profile, with ginkgolic acids held below 5 ppm. It differs from the 24/6 grade in this family only by its elevated fixed marker percentages, and from the EGb 761 material by stating single point values rather than that specification's 22-27% / 5-7% ranges. Like the other standardized extracts it is a whole-extract concentrate rather than raw whole-leaf powder, and it is not an isolated single compound such as ginkgolide B or bilobalide. Supplied as a fine powder, it is manufactured in capsule, tablet, softgel, powder and liquid dosage formats.
