French maritime pine (Pinus pinaster) bark extract. This is a concentrated native extract defined by a 10:1 drug-to-extract ratio, where ten parts of bark yield one part of finished extract, with no fixed proanthocyanidin marker specification. That ratio basis distinguishes it from the marker-standardized grades in the family, the 65-75% branded extracts and the >=85% and >=95% OPC grades, which are controlled to a proanthocyanidin percentage rather than a concentration ratio; it remains a whole extract rather than a single-compound isolate. It is supplied as a fine brown powder that we manufacture into capsules, tablets and powders.
