Rice Maltodextrin is a partially hydrolysed rice starch made up of alpha-1,4- and alpha-1,6-linked D-glucose units (CAS 9050-36-6, EC 232-940-4, empirical formula (C6H10O5)n). It is manufactured by controlled hydrolysis of rice starch and is offered non-GMO across the DE 10-19 range. It is identical in polymer class to our corn and tapioca maltodextrins, differing in its rice botanical source, and it functions as a carbohydrate carrier and bulking agent rather than the enzymatically modified soluble-fibre form. It is supplied as a fine, white to off-white free-flowing powder. We manufacture it into powders, capsules and tablets.
