Manganese Carbonate

Manganese(II) carbonate

Manganese carbonate is the inorganic manganese(II) carbonate salt (MnCO3, CAS 598-62-9), corresponding to the mineral rhodochrosite. It carries roughly 48% elemental manganese, the highest elemental load of any form in the family, because the small carbonate anion adds little mass. Unlike the water-soluble sulfate, gluconate or chloride, carbonate is a poorly soluble inorganic salt, and unlike the chelates the manganese sits as a simple divalent cation. The material is a powder with manganese in the +2 oxidation state. We manufacture it in tablet, capsule and powder formats.
