Manganese Picolinate

Manganese(II) dipicolinate

Manganese picolinate, the manganese(II) dipicolinate (C12H8MnN2O4, CAS 14049-88-8), is a synthetically produced chelate in which one manganese ion is coordinated by two picolinate ligands derived from picolinic acid. It carries roughly 18% elemental manganese, which sets it apart from the higher-load inorganic salts and from the glycine chelate. As a picolinic-acid chelate it differs structurally from the amino-acid chelate bisglycinate and from the simple organic-acid salts such as citrate and gluconate. The material is a powder with manganese in the reduced +2 oxidation state. We manufacture it in capsule and tablet formats.
