Manganese Chloride

Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate

Manganese chloride is the inorganic manganese(II) chloride salt, supplied as the tetrahydrate (MnCl2·4H2O, CAS 13446-34-9). It carries roughly 28% elemental manganese; the four waters of hydration lower its elemental load relative to the anhydrous inorganic salts, while the compound remains freely water-soluble. That high solubility, in contrast to the poorly soluble carbonate, is why we run it mainly in liquid and ionic formats rather than as a dry high-dose tablet. The manganese is in the reduced +2 oxidation state. We manufacture it in liquid and capsule formats.
