WS 1442 (Crataegutt) is a branded Willmar Schwabe dry extract of hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) leaf and flower. It is defined by a 4-6.6:1 leaf-and-flower drug-to-extract ratio combined with standardization to 18.75% oligomeric procyanidins, so it carries both a fixed ratio window and an assayed procyanidin figure. This dual specification distinguishes it from the plain 20% OPC extract, which fixes only the proanthocyanidin percentage, and from the single-marker vitexin and total-flavonoid grades. Supplied as a defined-composition dry extract, it is manufactured into tablets and liquid formats.
