Boron citrate is a boron-citric acid complex (CAS 74231-02-0, formula C6H5BO7, molecular weight 199.91) supplied as an organic-acid-bound boron source. It is produced synthetically by reacting a boron source with citric acid and is standardized to declared elemental boron. Unlike the amino-acid chelates in this family it is an organic-acid complex rather than a chelate, and at roughly 5% elemental boron it sits above the 2.8% of calcium fructoborate but far below the inorganic boric acid and borax grades. We manufacture it as a powder for capsule, tablet and powder dosage forms.
