Magnesium Aspartate

Magnesium L-aspartate (2:1)

Magnesium aspartate is the magnesium salt of the amino acid L-aspartic acid in a 2:1 aspartate-to-magnesium ratio (CAS 2068-80-6; C8H12MgN2O8, MW 288.49), commonly supplied as the dihydrate. As an amino-acid-associated form it carries a low elemental load of about 8% magnesium, comparable to taurate and threonate rather than the concentrated inorganic salts. It is frequently paired with potassium aspartate in combination products. The white powder is manufactured into tablets, capsules and powder blends.
