Magnesium malate is the magnesium salt of malic acid in a 1:1 ratio (CAS 869-06-7; C4H4MgO5, MW 156.38). It is an organic-acid salt carrying about 15.5% elemental magnesium, a mid-range elemental load comparable to citrate and well above the amino-acid chelates such as glycinate or taurate. We supply it either anhydrous or as the trihydrate, the anhydrous grade offering a higher magnesium assay per gram. The material is a white to off-white powder produced for capsules, tablets and powder blends.
