Berberis Aristata Root Powder is the dried, milled root and stem bark of Berberis aristata (Indian barberry, also known as tree turmeric). It is a whole botanical powder that is not chemically standardized, with berberine present only at its native level, which typically runs around 2-4%. This makes it the unconcentrated base material of the family, distinct from the marker-standardized root extract and from the purified berberine salts, the dihydro derivative and the phytosome complex. Supplied as a milled powder, it is manufactured into powder and capsule formats.
