Ginkgolide B is a single terpene trilactone (reference code BN 52021) isolated and purified from the leaf of ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba, the maidenhair tree). It is supplied as a defined-purity single compound at a minimum of 90% ginkgolide B by HPLC, molecular formula C20H24O10 and molecular weight 424.40. This isolate contrasts with the family's whole-leaf extracts (24/6, 27/7, EGb 761 and 50:1), which are multi-marker concentrates, and with bilobalide, the family's sesquiterpene trilactone, which carries a different formula (C15H18O8) and molecular weight. The physical form is a crystalline to fine powder. We manufacture it in capsule and powder dosage formats.
