Calcium lactate gluconate is a mixed calcium salt of both lactic and gluconic acids (CAS 11116-97-5, formula C42H78Ca5O48, molecular weight 1551.42), formulated for very high water solubility. Its large mixed-acid structure carries only about 13% elemental calcium but dissolves far more readily than any single mineral salt in this family, which is why it is supplied to pharmaceutical and effervescent grade. This combination of high solubility and low elemental load contrasts with the dense but insoluble carbonate and phosphate forms. It is supplied as a white crystalline to granular powder. We manufacture it in tablets, powders and liquids.
