Enzymatically modified isoquercitrin (EMIQ)

alpha-oligoglucosyl quercetin-3-O-glucoside (mixture of isoquercitrin and its alpha-1,4-glucosyl homologues)

Enzymatically modified isoquercitrin (EMIQ) is not a single compound but a defined mixture of isoquercitrin together with its alpha-1,4-glucosyl homologues, produced by enzymatically attaching additional glucose units to the quercetin-3-O-glucoside backbone. The individual species bear from one to ten linearly linked glucose units, giving an average mass of roughly 800 Da, and because it is a mixture it carries no single CAS number or molecular formula. This distinguishes it from the single-glucose monoglucoside isoquercitrin and from the sugar-free aglycone grades, the dihydrate and anhydrous, all of which are discrete molecules. It is plant-sourced and manufactured into capsules, tablets and powders.
