RRR-beta-tocopherol (CAS 148-03-8) is a minor homolog of the tocopherol family, a positional isomer of gamma-tocopherol sharing the same molecular formula and weight (C28H48O2, 416.7 g/mol) but differing in the placement of the ring methyl groups. It occurs only as a minor constituent of natural mixed tocopherols and is supplied chiefly as a reference standard or within a mixed-tocopherol concentrate. As a free, unesterified chromanol it is a fat-soluble oil, unlike the acetate and succinate esters. We offer it in softgel and capsule formats.
