Vitamin E Succinate (d-alpha-tocopheryl acid succinate)

RRR-alpha-tocopheryl hydrogen succinate

RRR-alpha-tocopheryl hydrogen succinate (CAS 4345-03-3) is the acid-succinate ester of natural d-alpha-tocopherol, in which succinic acid esterifies the chromanol hydroxyl and leaves a free terminal carboxylic acid. This half-ester structure (C33H54O5, 530.8 g/mol) is the only member of the family that presents as a dry, crystalline, free-flowing powder rather than an oil, distinguishing it from the oily acetate and free-tocopherol grades. It is an oxidation-stable ester with a conversion factor of 1.21 IU/mg. Its powder character suits it to direct-compression tablets, and we also process it into capsules, powders and softgels.
