Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea), purple coneflower, aerial parts, concentrated to a 10:1 native drug-to-extract ratio, roughly ten kilograms of herb per kilogram of finished extract. It is a more concentrated ratio grade than the 4:1 extract, delivering the same species and plant part at a higher herb-equivalent load, and like the 4:1 it is defined by extraction ratio rather than standardized to a marker percentage. This sets it apart from the polyphenol, cichoric acid and alkylamide grades in the family, which are assayed to a fixed constituent. The physical form is a brown, water-soluble extract powder. We manufacture it in capsule, tablet and powder formats.
