Copper Oxide

Copper(II) oxide (cupric oxide)

Copper oxide, chemically copper(II) oxide or cupric oxide (CAS 1317-38-0, formula CuO, molecular weight 79.55), is a high-density inorganic copper oxide rather than a salt or chelate. It is derived from mineral copper sources and supplied as a food-grade oxide. With no anion or ligand to dilute the metal, it carries the highest elemental copper density of the family at about 80%, roughly double the 40% of copper sulfate and copper citrate and far above the 14% of copper gluconate. It is supplied as a dense powder and manufactured into tablets, capsules, powders and gummies.
