Quercetin phytosome (Quercefit) is a non-covalent complex of quercetin bound to plant phospholipid, using a sunflower-derived phosphatidylcholine as the carrier. Rather than a discrete molecule, it is a formulated complex with no single CAS number or molecular formula, its quercetin content stated per specification. This sets it apart from the family's crystalline aglycones, the dihydrate and anhydrous, and its glycoside forms, isoquercitrin and EMIQ, which are all defined chemical species; the phytosome is instead a lipid-compatible presentation of the flavonol. It is plant-based and manufactured into capsules, tablets and powders.
