Chromium Dinicocysteinate (Zychrome)

Chromium dinicocysteinate is a proprietary trivalent chromium complex combining chromium(III) with niacin (nicotinic acid) and the amino acid L-cysteine, marketed under the Zychrome brand. It is manufactured synthetically as a defined multi-ligand complex; its exact composition is proprietary, so no public CAS number, molecular formula or standardized elemental chromium figure is stated in our specification. It is distinguished from the single-ligand picolinate and polynicotinate by its mixed niacin-plus-cysteine ligand set, and from the nicotinate glycinate chelate by that specific cysteine component, whose source may be animal- or fermentation-derived. As supplied it is a powder carrying a gluten-free declaration but not a vegan one, given the possible cysteine origin. We manufacture it in capsule and tablet formats.
