Zinc Bisglycinate

Zinc bis(glycinate)

Zinc bisglycinate, chemically zinc bis(glycinate), is a fully-reacted amino-acid chelate in which a single zinc ion is coordinated by two glycine molecules (CAS 14281-83-5). It is produced synthetically by reacting a zinc source with glycine in a defined 1:2 ratio, giving an organic chelate rather than a simple inorganic salt such as zinc oxide or zinc sulfate. At roughly 30.6% elemental zinc it carries a higher elemental load than the picolinate, gluconate and orotate forms while sitting below the inorganic oxide and sulfate. It is supplied as an off-white powder standardized to its elemental zinc content, and we manufacture it in capsule, tablet, powder and liquid formats.
