Zinc Citrate

Trizinc dicitrate

Zinc citrate, chemically trizinc dicitrate, is the zinc salt of citric acid in a 3:2 zinc-to-citrate ratio (CAS 546-46-3). Unlike the amino-acid chelates such as bisglycinate, it is an organic-acid salt rather than a coordinated chelate, and unlike zinc oxide it is not an inorganic mineral form. At roughly 34.2% elemental zinc it carries a higher elemental load than the gluconate, picolinate and orotate forms while remaining below zinc oxide and zinc sulfate. It is produced synthetically, standardized to elemental zinc percentage, and supplied as a white to off-white powder, which we manufacture in tablet, capsule, powder and gummy formats.
