Aged Garlic Extract (Kyolic) is a branded long-aged extract of garlic (Allium sativum) bulb, produced by a prolonged aging process and standardized to the water-soluble marker S-allyl cysteine (SAC). Because of the extended aging, it carries low to no allicin, which separates it from the allicin- and alliin-standardized bulb extracts that are assayed on those sulfur markers. It also differs from garlic oil, a distilled oil fraction, and from the whole bulb powder, which is non-standardized food-grade material. The material is supplied as an extract suited to both dry and liquid formats. We manufacture it in capsules, tablets, and liquid.
