Sucralose

Sucralose (food/USP grade)

1,6-Dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-β-D-fructofuranosyl-4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside

Sucralose is a high-intensity sweetener that is the trichlorinated derivative of sucrose, chemically 1,6-dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-β-D-fructofuranosyl-4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside (CAS 56038-13-2, EC 259-952-2, C12H19Cl3O8, molecular weight 397.6). It is manufactured synthetically by selectively substituting three hydroxyl groups of sucrose with chlorine atoms, and is supplied as a USP/EP-grade crystalline powder assaying 98.0-102.0% on the dried basis. This is the standard crystalline granulation: coarser in particle size than the micronized grade, a dry solid rather than the aqueous liquid concentrate, and the neat active with no carrier, unlike the maltodextrin bulking blend. We manufacture it into capsules, tablets, powders, gummies and liquids.
