Le fer carbonyle est du fer élémentaire (métallique) de haute pureté finement divisé à l'état d'oxydation zéro (CAS 7439-89-6, Fe), produit par décomposition thermique du pentacarbonyle de fer. Parce qu'il ne contient aucun anion ni ligand formant un sel, c'est l'ingrédient de fer le plus concentré de la famille, généralement 97% ou plus de fer élémentaire en poids. Physiquement, c'est une poudre métallique grise finement divisée plutôt qu'un sel cristallin ou un chélate. Nous le fabriquons sous les formats comprimé, gélule, poudre et liquide.
