Le pyrophosphate ferrique est un sel de fer(III) de l'acide pyrophosphorique (CAS 10058-44-3, Fe4(P2O7)3) contenant environ 30% de fer élémentaire. Contrairement aux sels ferreux solubles de la famille, le fer est ici à l'état oxydé +3 et le composé est essentiellement insoluble dans l'eau, de sorte qu'il est généralement micronisé ou microencapsulé (par exemple les qualités SunActive ou Lipofer) en une poudre fine dispersible. Ce traitement physique le distingue techniquement des sels cristallins sulfate ou fumarate. Nous le fournissons sous les formats poudre, liquide, gélule et comprimé.
