Le complexe fer-polymaltose (IPC, CAS 53858-86-9) est un complexe non ionique d'hydroxyde de fer(III) polynucléaire associé au polymaltose, un glucide dérivé de l'amidon (par exemple la qualité Maltofer). Comme le fer est maintenu à l'état oxydé +3 sous forme d'un noyau polynucléaire non ionique plutôt que d'ion libre, la matière possède une composition indéfinie et est normalisée par titrage à sa teneur en fer élémentaire déclarée plutôt que par une formule fixe. Cela la distingue techniquement des sels stœchiométriques et des chélates définis de la famille. Nous le proposons en comprimés, sous forme liquide et en gélules.
